98 GSX has arrived
At long last my 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse has arrived. I was lucky enough to have bought it from another Fast and Furious Eclipse builder named Dylan. He gave me a great deal and ended up becoming a friend during the process of buying and transporting the vehicle. I used uShip to transport the vehicle from Alabama and Georgia, and they made it as hard as possible. I’m not sure if shipping vehicles is mandatory a terrible experience or if I just have bad luck. Either way, Dylan and I worked together and got it here. The car has been sitting for a while which has caused the front two tires to be flat, and the battery started going out recently. The truck driver seemed like a nice enough guy but barely spoke any English, but luckily Google translate came in for the save. We couldn’t get a jump start off of my brother-in-law’s truck after charging it for good while. A jump start kit from Home Depot was what it needed to get rolling enough to park into my garage.
Anyways, it’s here and it’s time to start working. I immediately put the first piece on and setup my key ring. There’s obviously a lot to do on the car and even more for me to figure out so I know what’s really needed to be done. I’m excited! I’ve never done anything like this, but it’s fun having it here. It smells like an old car, which I love at the moment.
But mainly I wanted to come on here and make my first real update on what’s going on with my build. To sum it all up - I’m just getting started.
